There are various different styles of make-up that will be suitable for a burlesque costume. The glamour look is what I would associate with a pin-up girl look – slightly understated but with style.  As opposed to the sparkly showgirl style of make-up, this involves low key colouring on the face with lots of black eyeliner highlighting the eyes and bright red lipstick to really make the lips stand out. Lips can be matte or slightly glossy.
